General
Donalo Sandomere is a Dedicated among the Asha'man. He is grizzled with a farmer's face but an oiled, pointed beard with gray streaks like Tairen nobles. Apart from Logain and Narishma, he is one of the strongest among the Asha'man (TPoD, Ch. 22; WH, Prologue; KoD, Ch. 27). He is one of the strongest of the Dedicated (ToM, Ch. 46).
Toveine Gazal does not really believe Donalo Sandomere is his real name (WH, Prologue).
He bonded an Aes Sedai named Ayako Norsoni (KoD, Ch. 20).
Timeline
- He is present at the Black Tower when Rand names the male channelers Asha'man (LoC, Ch. 42).
- He fights at Dumai's Wells (LoC, Ch. 55; WH, Prologue) and sees Rand choose the Asha'man to accompany him back (ACoS, Ch. 2; WH, Prologue).
- He is one of the eight Dedicated in Rand's army in Illian, where he weaves a gateway to Altara (TPoD, Ch. 22).
