General

Eagan Padros was a band-leader of soldiers loyal to "Lord Brend" (Sammael). He was an Illianer with a narrow face, a long nose, and dark eyes (TPoD, Ch. 13).

Rand thought Padros was much brighter than he looked (TPoD, Ch. 21).

Timeline

  • Rand rode up to him with Lord Gregorin and First Captain Marcolin to offer him and his men a chance to join his forces or go home unarmed. Padros defiantly did not acknowledge Rand as his King. He and his men were given time to decide (TPoD, Ch. 13).

Quotes

"A pitiful sight, all wet and rust, but his backbone was as tight as his bowstring. He ignored Rand's glare as easily as he did Gregorin's. 'You do ask us to go home unarmed, unable to defend ourselves or our families, while your people do burn and steal and kill.'" (Padros to Rand in reply to his offer; The Path of Daggers, Chapter 13)
