General

Elis is a maid in the Aesdaishar Palace in Chachin who briefly appeared in the "New Spring" novel. She is a pale-haired young woman in green-and-white livery (NS, Ch. 25).

She was supposed to take Moiraine back to her rooms after visiting with Prince Brys, but after they crossed Merean's way, she guided Moiraine to Lan's apartment. She is astounded when she learns that Moiraine is Aes Sedai and promises not to tell anyone (NS, Ch. 25).

"She had been told of Moiraine's "faintness," and she asked every twenty paces whether Moiraine wished to sit and catch her breath, or have cool damp cloths brought to her rooms, or hot bricks for her feet, or smelling salts, or a dozen more sure cures for "a light head," until Moiraine curtly told her to be quiet.
