Elsalam was one of the nations of the Free Era. It was located in the northern part of the Westlands. It was one of the then Borderlands, and its northern border was in the Mountains of Dhoom in the east and the west, with a slight, southward indent in the center. All of the borders that did not reach the mountains were within sight of them. To the west was Basharande, with Oburun, Roemalle and Tar Valon to the south, and Rhamdashar to the east. Eventually, this area of land became what is now Kandor and western Arafel.

Elsalam was one of the nations of the Free Era. It was located in the northern part of the Westlands.
