Fall Ball 2013 was held at the Downtown Salt Lake City Radisson.

Friday

Friday evening will feature an Oktoberfest theme with some fun activities for everyone to get to know one another and potentially some fun Pub Trivia. Bring your lederhosen and best steins and be ready to mix and mingle! We will also have our Magic The Gathering draft beginning around 7pm- or whenever everyone who is hoping to play arrives! Later in the evening at 11pm we’ll have our official Opening Toast and Ceremonies!

  • Membership groups planning to do parties and toasts should look for options on Friday night either before or after the Opening Toast and Ceremonies.

Saturday

Temple Square tour

Saturday morning plans consist of a tour of Temple Square for all interested parties. Temple Square is the most popular attraction in Salt Lake City and the home of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints (LDS) and features numerous gardens, the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake Tabernacle, the Salt Lake Assembly Hall, and the front gates have frequently seen street artists and performers. The tour is open to all.

This tour is FREE. Please meet at Temple Square at 9:40 am- sharp! It is only a small walk from our hotel. Tour is scheduled to last 1 hour.

Lunch

Between 11am and 12:30pm everyone is encouraged to make their way to the Food Court at City Creek Center! Located just a couple of blocks from our hotel and across the street from Temple Square.

This is a BYOB event.

Afternoon tours

For the afternoon you’ll have three great options for tours to see the city, the Shopping Tour, the Historical Tour, and the Wildlife Tour. Some details about these break out tours is available below, additional details will be released in the Offiicial Event Packet. NOTE- not all of these are free, so please read all of the following details!

All tours will depart promptly from the City Creek Shopping Center at 12:30 pm. Please be on time!

Shopping tour

The Shopping Tour will visit the City Creek Shopping Center where everyone will be enjoying lunch and the nearby Gateway.

This tour will depart from the City Creek Shopping Center at 12:30 pm with hosts and tour guides Eli and Chalisea. Travel between the shopping centers will be via TRAX and all located within the Free Fare Zone. Tour is free, but all your shopping is on you!

Historical tour

The Historical Tour will depart from the City Creek shopping center as well and visit a couple unique attractions in Salt Lake City including the Leonardo museum featuring science, technology, and the arts, as well as the Salt Lake City Public Library.

This tour will depart from City Creek Shopping Center promptly at 12:30 pm and tour will be led by Brandon. Travel between locations will be via TRAX and is all located within the Free Fare Zone. NOTE: The Leonardo is not free. Admission is $9 per person. Discounts available for youth, seniors, students, and military. Please plan accordingly.

Wildlife tour

The Wildlife Tour will take interested members on a walk on the wild side of Salt Lake City including visits to the Tracy Aviary located in Liberty Park to see some amazing local and non-local fauna and the Clark Planetarium!

Tour will depart from City Creek Shopping Center promptly at 12:30 pm and Kitan will be your lovely tour guide. Travel between locations will be via TRAX NOTE: The Tracy Aviary is not free. Admission in $7 per person. Please plan accordingly.

As an alternative, folks wanting to join the Wildlife Tour but not pay to see the Aviary are encouraged to tour neighboring Liberty Park while the group visits the Aviary. NOTE: Transportation for this tour is not free, this will include travel outside of the Free Fare zone. Transit passes are $6.25. Please plan accordingly.

Everyone will be meeting for dinner at 6:30 pm. This is our big meal for the weekend so be sure not to miss it, especially since this one is included in your ticket! More information will be available in the Official Event Packet

Saturday night, I invited everyone to head back to the hotel for an evening of music and fun featuring KARAOKE- and yes, you are encouraged to both sing and dance! Karaoke will begin at 9pm and run until midnight.

    • If you have some special song request- maybe a special dedication- PM me and I will see what I can do.


Sunday

Sunday morning everyone needs to be checked out of the hotel no later than 10 am and then we will have our Farewell Brunch at 11 am.
