The Fateful Concord was the name given to an agreement brokered by Latra Posae Decume with every female Aes Sedai of significant strength not to aid Lews Therin in his plan to place seals around the Dark One's prison and seal him back in. Most believed that a circle of strong men and women would be needed to accurately place the seals and that the agreement killed of Lews therin's plan and left making the Choedan Kal the only option.
