The Great Blackwood is a large, uninhabited trackless forest, sometimes known as the Forest of Shadows, just south of the Two Rivers and the Manetherendrelle, separating Andor from Ghealdan (TEotW, Ch. 4; TSR, Ch. 53). Orban and Gann believed that the Horn of Valere might have been hidden there (TDR, Ch. 35). Along with the Mountains of Mist to the west, the Mire to the east and the River Taren to the north, the Great Blackwood ensures the Two Rivers is almost entirely cut off from the rest of the world
