The Guilds are a means of providing a sense of community that transcends rank. They are primarily based around the idea of a professional networking group such as you would find in The [[The Wheel of Time (Series)|Wheel of Time world]]. The Guilds were designed to be a means of providing a sense of community that transcends rank. They were primarily based around the idea of a professional networking group such as you would find in The Wheel of Time world. They were not meant to take the place of Ajahs and Companies, nor were they equal to them. Many people never joined a Guild, and it was not a necessary part of our community's experience. Guilds were simply meant to provide a place for people with similar interests to come together and discuss various aspects of those interests.

Due to various reasons the Guilds were dissolved after the 2011 Admin Meeting and replaced with Discussion Forums.
