Janwin is the clan chief of the Shiande Aiel. He has a creased, fierce-looking face, gray hair and blue-gray eyes. He is married (ACoS, Ch. 18).
Rhuarc tells Rand that Janwin will eventually join him (TFoH, Ch. 2).
He is undecided what he should make out of Rand's disappearance - that he has abandoned the Aiel or has been betrayed (ACoS, Ch. 3).
He discusses what to do about the Shaido with Mandelain, Indirian and Rand (ACoS, Ch. 18).
