General
Joinde is an Aiel woman of the Black Rock sept of the Shaarad Aiel. She was a Maiden who followed Rand until she gave up the spear to marry.
The man that she married was Garan of the Jhirad Goshien, whom she had taken as gai'shain. This is odd because the Shaarad and Goshien clans have a blood feud. When Rand asks Adelin where Joinde is, Adelin replies that Joinde had been talking to herself all day, and just an hour ago, she went to lay a bridal wreath at Garan's feet. The next day is his last as her gai'shain. Enaila comments that one or two Maidens give up the spear to make bridal wreaths every day since they have arrived in Rhuidean, and Rand knows that it is because he is ta'veren.
