Kathana is an Ebou Dari woman and owner of the Yearly Brawl. She is recently married to Jame. When Mat visits the inn, she doesn't believe his tale of how he lost an eye and tells him he should wear a hat as it would go well with his eyepatch. After talking to him for a couple of minutes, she realises that he is the man that all the soldiers in Ebou Dar are looking for.
