|First Appearance||Episode 1|
WARNING! The next sections contain spoilers for the Wheel of Time television series.
Laila is the wife of Perrin Aybara. She works in a forge and is strong enough to wield a hammer, even in self defence. She has the habit of holding Perrin's pinky finger, when showing her affection.
Laila is a young woman with long blonde hair. She wears her hair in a braid. She has multiple earrings on her left year. She also has almost healed scars on her arms.
On the night of Bel Tine, Laila is with Perrin by the river, where the village's tradition is to light a candle and let it flow downriver inside a paper lantern. Later she dances with Perrin and the rest of the villagers. After the Trollocs attack, Laila and Perrin hide inside the forge and there are also other villagers there with them. However, Trollocs enters the forge, so Laila has to take everyone out, but after that helps Perrin kill the Shadowspawn. In a moment of anger and confusion, Perrin swings his axe and kills Laila with it.
Deviation from the Books
This section contains spoilers relating to The Books. Please expand to view.
Laila's character is different in the book series than in the television series. In the books, Laila is a girl that Perrin really liked when they were little, and thought one day would marry. They are never married, instead she marries another youth from the Two Rivers and when Perrin meets them again, they already have a child together.
