The Lastriders are a military grouping in Saldaea. After Maradon is evacuated, they watched from a ridge to the southeast to send word to the rest of Saldaea if it falls (ToM, Ch. 24). They alert the city when they see aid coming and this persuades Rodel to stand until Rand arrives (ToM, Ch. 28).
