What do you think of when you hear the words "it's a classic"? For me, those words conjure up images of 1960s films, novels from the 1800s, and clothing styles from any time before I was born.

My current audiobook iss AS YOU WISH: INCONCEIVABLE TALES FROM THE MAKING OF THE PRINCESS BRIDE, by Cary Elwes. This book, written just after the movie's 25th anniversary, is a wonderful glimpse behind the scenes at the making of a classic movie. I thought it a timely coincidence that this is what I happened to be listening to as I put together this Classic themed edition!

This month in the Tar Valon Times we explore the theme of "the classics" in our articles. We talk about classic movies, genre-creating novels, recipes that never go out of style, and much more. We also talk to "classic" site members - some of those who have been around TarValon.Net for more than ten years.
