Maighdin Trakand was an Andoran noble and Morgase's mother. She should actually have ascended to the Lion Throne, but a fever carried her away.
Lini was her nursemaid. She still has a portrait of a beautiful fourteen-year-old Maighdin in her apartments.
Morgase can remember her beautiful and warm smile.
