General
Mandein was an Aiel sept chief during the construction of Rhuidean, and is Rand's ancestor. His wife was Sealdre and his greatfather was Comran. He was forty in Rand's vision when he entered Rhuidean as the first sept chief to be tested.
His wife sent him to the meeting of the sept chiefs at Rhuidean.
As many others, he did not accept the Jenn as Aiel, but changed his mind after their chief Dermon opened Mandein's eyes about their purpose.
