General
Martine Janata was the last Aes Sedai to truly study ter'angreal. She studied them carefully and treated every one "as if she had no idea what it might do next." One day Martine's maid found her unconscious; she was burned out. She came to three days later but had no recollection of the previous week, nor which ter'angreal had caused her stilling. She fled the White Tower as soon as she was well enough to leave (TPoD, Ch. 2).
Miscellaneous
- Martine wore the shawl for forty years before she was stilled. She studied ter'angreal for nearly all of those years (TPoD, Ch. 2).
- Martine's warder died of shock when she was burned out (TPoD, Ch. 2).
- No one has since touched the ter'angreal that Martine was working with (TPoD, Ch. 2).
