General
Mikel is one of the Heroes of the Horn (The Great Hunt, Chapter 47). He is known as Mikel of the Pure Heart (A Crown of Swords, Chapter 21).
Mikel appears when Mat blows the Horn of Valere outside of Falme and participates in the battle against the Seanchan. When Rand looks at the faces of the Heroes, he hears a hundred names to go with them, names that they were known by in other lives. One of the names that he thinks of when he looks at Mikel is Michael (The Great Hunt, Chapter 47).
When Mat realizes that Birgitte is actually a hero of out legend, he recalls the battle at Falme, and remembers seeing Mikel of the Pure Heart (A Crown of Swords, Chapter 21).
