General

Mili Skane is a hunter and one of the best assassins available among the Darkfriends. She is from Andor (ACoS, Ch. 15). She is pretty with sharp features (TEotW, Ch. 33) and a narrow, fox-like face (ACoS, Ch. 14; Ch. 15). She has glossy brown hair and big brown eyes (CoT, Ch. 15).

She does not think of herself as Mili Skane anymore; she has adopted the name Lady Shiaine Avarhin (WH, Ch. 10).

Timeline

  • In the following year she makes her first kill and joins a circle of Darkfriends in Caemlyn (ACoS, Ch. 15).
  • She is supposed to look for the angreal stash in Ebou Dar and to report to Carridin. At the end of their meeting, he wants Shiaine to find Mat (ACoS, Ch. 15).
  • Shiaine orders Marillin to spy on the Royal Palace, but Marillin says this is too dangerous with all the channelers. However, there is already a woman in the Palace who can accomplish the task (WH, Ch. 10).
  • She meets with delegates of the Houses Sarand and Marne. The next one delegate she meets, she kills. She orders Daved Hanlon to free some of the sul'dam and damane if possible and to put more effort into setting the grain warehouses aflame (CoT, Ch. 15).
  • Hark finds her house on Full Moon Street and Elayne intends to arrest her. The Aes Sedai surprise Shiaine, Falion and Marillin, but are in turn caught unprepared and killed except for Elayne (KoD, Ch. 31).
  • She and the Black sisters are caught and arrested (KoD, Ch. 33).

Miscellaneous

  • Though young, she leads a circle of Darkfriends, but ranks below Carridin. She is to report to him and obey his orders, although she does it almost grudgingly (ACoS, Ch. 15).
  • She has killed twenty people in her relatively short life (ACoS, Ch. 15).
  • Moridin shields Falion Bhoda and gives her to Shiaine to serve. Marillin Gemalphin is also to obey her and Moridin gives Shiaine the freedom to kill both Black sisters if she wishes to (TPoD, Ch. 28; WH, Ch. 10).
  • She dislikes the smell of rough tabac, so Murellin, her guard, has to go to the stables when he wants to smoke his pipe (CoT, Ch. 15).
