Mordaine was a Jenn Aiel during the construction of Rhuidean. She was a graying woman with deep-set green eyes, and might have been Narisse's sister. Like all Aiel, she was tall, with a sun-darkened face, and dressed in the same fashion except for the veil. She carried no weapon but a belt knife.

She and Narisse accompanied Dermon to the sept chief's meeting at Rhuidean. She forewarned the chiefs that "a day will come when the Jenn are no more" and that the others must remain to keep the Aiel history.
