Her counselor, Gitara Moroso, spent more time with Mordrellen's children Tigraine, the Daughter-Heir, and Luc, who would have been First Prince of the Sword, than with the Queen herself (LoC, Ch. 16). Gitara stayed her counselor until Mordrellen's death of grief after her children's disappearance. Leaving a void on the throne with no heir caused the Succession (TWoRJTWoT; LoC, Ch. 16).
