Pelanna is one of the First Twelve Wavemistresses of the Atha'an Miere. She has tightly curled hair that is nearly all gray and a square face with a long pink scar down the right side. Her honor chain is heavy with medallions, one of them indicating her part in the Escape.

Her Windfinder is Caire din Gelyn Running Wave.

Pelanna thinks that everyone must be like her and expects people under her to laugh when she does.

She was called to a meeting of the First Twelve and their Windfinders with Logain. She is openly hostile to Harine. Cemeille din Selaan Long Eyes arrives and tells them the sad story of the Amayar's death.
