S'redit are large, grey animals, with wrinkled skins that live as family units. They have big ears and large curving tusks, three paces long, with a long nose that dangles to the ground, They are undoubtedly elephants, though whether Asian or African, or a third species, is not known (TFoH, Ch. 13; Ch. 17). There are S'redit at the court of the nine moons (TFoH, Ch. 24), where Cerandin served as a handler and they are valuable enough that Suroth gives Valan Luca a warrant to keep all his animals as reward for sheltering Cerandin (WH, Ch. 15).
