Sarek is a Seanchan nobleman; when Rand and Aviendha encounter a group of Seanchan the morning after they spend the night together in the ice hut in Seanchan, Morsa (a Seanchan noblewoman) tells a Seeker of Truth named Jalindin that he was only sent to her because Sarek looks above himself and has designs on Serengada Dai and Tuel (Reference: The Fires of Heaven, Chapter 32).
