Stedding Shangtai is a stedding, located in the Spine of the World (TEotW, Ch. 48), close enough to Tear that Ogier from there will visit for stoneworking. They were also responsible for building parts of Illian, such as the Palace of the Assemblage (TEotW, Ch. 42). Shortly after the Aiel War, it was visited by a man, likely Jain Charin, who told of a plan for the Shadow to seize the Eye of the World (TEotW, Ch. 42).
