Wheel of Time
How I found the Wheel of Time: My mom and I both read fantasy books, as did a friend of hers. The year the first book came out, that friend recommended the Wheel of Time, probably to both of us, but for some reason, I started the series and really got into it, and my mother still hasn't gotten through the first book. I wasn't especially close to that friend of hers but I will always remember her.
