General

Taric is an Aielman, the youngest greatson of Sorilea's greatdaughter Amaryn. Sorilea thinks that he will be a clan chief one day.

After Egwene has confessed her lies to the Wise Ones and has met her toh, Sorilea tells her that if the Aes Sedai turn her away, she can return to be Sorilea's apprentice; she even knows the right husband for Egwene: Taric. Because Sorilea thinks that he will be a clan chief one day, she tells Egwene that she must keep an eye out for a sister-wife to be his roofmistress.

Before Egwene leaves for Salidar, Sorilea reminds her to think on Taric. She says that she should have asked him to the sweat tent so that Egwene could see him.
