Chapter 18: An Offer

The next days Mat collects information about the Seanchan and their exotic creatures. He listens to a lot of gossip and the news that flows into Ebou Dar with the merchants. When there is a mention of Rand, those odd colors begin swirling in Mat's head.

The day after the gholam had attacked Mat, he sets out in search for a place to store some of his gold. He ends up in The Wandering Woman, where Mistress Anan tells him she has some space under the kitchen floors.

Back in the Tarasin Palace, Mat orders Lopin and Nerim to take some of his clothes and a pocket full of gold to the inn daily.

Mat also finds a bellfounder, though this fellow does not know anything about Illuminators and Aludra will still tell him nothing about her Guild's secrets.

Once, when he enters Tylin's quarters, Tuon is there examining his ashandarei. She wants to buy it, but he refuses to sell.

After several days, Mat wants to check on his gold and clothes in The Wandering Woman.
