Yarin Maeldan

General

Yarin Maeldan is the second-in-command on the Spray, Bayle Domon's boat. He is brooding, stork-like and has a long nose.

(Reference: The Great Hunt, Chapter 9).

Timeline

• Yarin comes into the Easing the Badger inn, where Domon is, and tells him that Carn, another of Domon's men, has been killed (TGH, Ch. 9).

• Domon sends Yarin to fetch all of his crew; they are to sail as soon as there are enough men aboard to handle the ship (TGH, Ch. 9).

• The Spray and her crew, including Yarin, are captured by the Seanchan and made to swear the oath of loyalty (TGH, Ch. 29).

• Domon tells Yarin to get the Spray ready to sail the day of battle at Falme (TGH, Ch. 45).

• Once the battle begins, Yarin begs Domon to leave but Domon refuses - he gave his word to Elayne and Nynaeve that he would help them escape (TGH, Ch. 46).
