General
The Virtual Events Merit is a Merit Badge created in 2020 to recognize that while people are unable to hold real life events, virtual events can also contribute to the community. There are five categories, depending on the type of event being held. Each event must be open to all members and have a minimum of 5 attendees.
- Coffee Talk - Earn a Gold merit badge if you have hosted 20 or more online chats or virtual meetings, earn a Silver merit badge if you have hosted five.
- Movie Buff - Earn a Gold merit badge if you have hosted 20 or more online movie watch events, earn a Silver merit badge if you have hosted five.
- Achievement Unlocked - Earn a Gold merit badge if you have hosted 20 or more online quizzes or trivia, earn a Silver merit badge if you have hosted five.
- Online Social Butterfly - Attend 20 or more virtual events.
- Lonely Hearts Club - Host 20 or more events that do not have the required minimum attendance.
- Epic Event - Plan an epic event. This is a nomination-only merit for people who have planned large online events such as Project Gaidin.
