General
Malin din Toral Breaking Wave is the Wavemistress of Clan Somarin and Sailmistress of the Windrunner. She is a grave-faced woman with heavily gray-streaked hair and five small fat gold rings in each ear as well as a nose ring connected to a thin chain with many tiny medallions marking her rank.
She receives Nynaeve, Elayne and Aviendha on Windrunner and takes them to the Mistress of the Ships' office.
She is very excited about the Bowl of the Winds' reappearance.
When Elayne and Nynaeve bargain with Nesta, she talks to Birgitte and Aviendha. Because of an oath that Birgitte uses, Malin believes she must have lived among the Sea Folk.
