General
Hammar was a Warder of the White Tower and a of trainer of those who want to be Gaidin. He was blocky with thick black eyebrows and a gravel voice (TDR, Ch. 24).
He was a blademaster (TSR, Ch. 1).
Timeline
- He was training his students when Mat came to watch them, and he encouraged Gawyn and Galad to accept Mat's wager (TDR, Ch. 24).
- Gawyn told Min that he has sword lessons with Hammar (TSR, Ch. 1).
