General

Dagdara Finchey is an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who sides with the Salidar Aes Sedai (TFoH, Ch. 50). She is also a member of the Black Ajah (TGS, Ch. 39).

Dagdara is as wide and tall as most men, with gray hair (TFoH, Ch. 50). She has a round face (LoC, Ch. 8).

Supposedly, Dagdara knows more about Healing than any two others (TFoH, Ch. 30).

Timeline

  • On her way somewhere in a hurry, Dagdara is running and crashes into Nynaeve (LoC, Ch. 13).
  • Dagdara Heals Varilin, a Gray Aes Sedai, when she messes an attempt to create a ter'angreal and nearly dies (LoC, Ch. 13).

Miscellaneous

Dagdara would have had Nynaeve scrubbing floors from sunup to sundown until she gave up her attempts to Heal Siuan and Leane if Sheriam had not intervened. She thinks that Nynaeve's study of stilling is very foolish (LoC, Ch. 8).

Dagdara has been looking at Nynaeve funny due to the fact that Nynaeve still manages to "learn new weaves" when she has a block (LoC, Ch. 13).

After Nynaeve is raised to Aes Sedai, she tells Dagdara (about breaking her block) that she was Aes Sedai now, and that Dagdara could find a lake and douse her head (LoC, Ch. 37).

When the Rebel Hall was being chosen, Romanda wanted Dagdara to be the third Yellow Sitter instead of Salita, who was Magla's choice, because she considered Dagdara to be a more suitable candidate as well as someone who could be swayed without too much difficulty. Because Magla was already a Sitter and Romanda had been trying for a Seat herself, Magla got her way and Salita was chosen (KoD, Ch. 23).

Quotes

"What made you think of using Fire? And Earth? You used Earth. Healing is Spirit, Water and Air." (Dagdara to Nynaeve after she Heals Siuan; Lord of Chaos, Chapter 30).

"...used Fire and Earth as if she were trying to bore a hole through stone." (Dagdara after Nynaeve Heals Leane; Lord of Chaos, Chapter 30).
