- Upon learning of the siege of Caemlyn, Arilinde rides to Elayne's support with her fifty armsmen and does not turn back on learning the odds (KoD, Ch. 17).
- On her way to the Map Room, Elayne stops to exchange pleasantries with her. She is chewing her lip and is worried. Elayne wonders if she is worried over Arymilla's confidence, but then thinks that that wouldn't be enough to upset Arilinde. Birgitte thinks that she may be worried over the fact that the halls of the Palace keep changing (KoD, Ch. 17)
