Poem by Bayrd al'Syeen for Project Gaidin's Death Match week 3.

Summoned by the Mother to her study
were the Aes Sedai and her Gaidin buddy
To the Seanchan they were to be sent
because the Amyrlin’s options had already been spent

The Waste, the Blight and Dragonmount had been searched
but her hopes, they were thus far besmirched
To Seanchan this pair must travel
to find the object before time did unravel

A gateway Ariseama did make
To a land the Creator had forsaked
Imfaral was its name;
it was the Towers they must tame

Stealthy they went into the city
past some inns that were playing some diddys
To the Towers was their flight-
to the Towers of Mid-night

With guards at the gate
Azreal could not risk tempting fate
He came at them clad in gleaming plate
And for them, it was too late

The guards quickly went down
each with blood covering his crown
Not a cry was heard from the town
so the pair passed without even a frown

All across the looming Tower
Those travelers did scour
Searching for hour after disheartening hour
Until they found a room warded by the Power

Prepare themselves they did
to grab that object that had been so well hid
Because failing was strictly forbid
It’s Azrael- who were these Seanchan trying to kid

As they cautiously opened the door
the pair knew they were in store for much more
A channeler inside- she could feel it in her core
This adventure would surely not be a bore

Glowing and leashed was a maiden
Who was standing before Ariseama and her Gaidin
Barring their way to the much desired prize
a difficult situation it was by their surmise

It was through the others that they set their sight
Through to the object that was stolen that fateful night
That Damane she put up quite a fight
But in the end her weaves were just not right

One lay dead with a knife in the neck
the other shielded, a quivering wreck
Azrael deftly grabbed the object of the Power
and quickly they headed back to the White Tower
