Tigraine: Rand's mother. Former Daughter-Heir of Andor who was told to go to the Aiel Waste and become a Maiden of the Spear and not to return until the Maidens went to Tar Valon, by an Aes Sedai called Gitarra Moroso, who had the foretelling. She was told the fate of her nation and the world depended on it. She left Galad her son behind, and died on Dragonmount, after giving birth to Rand at the end of the Aiel War. Her husband later married Morgase.
