  • Why did you choose Red?

They were the only group that challenged me to be myself and yet still grow to be better, stronger, and independent.

  • Are you like the Red in the Books? Do you dislike men? Are you a driven woman with her own goals in life?

Yes^3. I wasn't originally, but I have grown to be this way over the past 7 years. I don't hate men, I just don't have the time or interest to tolerate bullshit from anyone. I plan to get somewhere high in life and achieve many great accomplishments, which means I must work my ass off now in order to get there. This really doesn't leave much time for a social life outside of my school building. Guys will just have to chase me down later in life when I start to slow down a little in chasing my own goals.

  • Do you have a favorite Red Ajah character from the novels?

It's been so long since I read the books that I don't even really remember now. I think I disliked nearly all of them except Pevara.

  • How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?

I'm not really a fan of the books, I'm just a fan of many of the people here in this community.

  • How did you first get into the series?

I only had one friend at the time and I was jealous of her bragging how awesome the people were here, so I read the books to join too.

  • Who is your favorite "hero"?

Egwene. She was annoying the first half the series, but as soon as she, *ahem*, "stepped up", I started to better enjoy her character. I can see a lot of myself in her.

  • Favorite bad guy/gal?

Hey, if anyone can manage to kill Rand, they'll be my favourite.

  • Favorite book and scene?

I quite like anything with Mat, Tuon, or Egwene later on in the series.

  • If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?

Probably either an Illuminator because I'm very secretive, and very serious about my craft, or a Blue Aes Sedai who has her hand deep in the politics of nations.

  • What do you do in "real life"?

I am a student at a serious design school in downtown Toronto, Canada. My major is Illustration, but currently I tend to focus more of my energy into broadening my skills with concept design and problem solving of social issues. I work long hours at my school, often staying 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. I also try to volunteer at various events and causes whenever I have openings in my schedule.

  • Do you have any hobbies?

Networking, volunteering, event organizing.

  • What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

I listen to a lot of classic rock while I'm working, but I also enjoy experimental electronic music such as projects like AWOLnation or the whole subculture of dubstep.

  • What are some of your favorite movies / television shows?

I adore clever movies such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Amélie, Jeux D'Enfants, but my television shows tend to be more on the cheesy dramatic side so I can laugh at them. Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, Nikita, and of course my love for Doctor Who.

  • Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favorite books/series?

Uglies, The Book Thief, Gunnerkrigg Court

  • What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

Artist or writer. I'm growing up to be both.
