Malin din Toral Breaking Wave is the Wavemistress of Clan Somarin and Sailmistress of the Windrunner. She is a grave-faced woman with heavily gray-streaked hair and five small fat gold rings in each ear as well as a nose ring connected to a thin chain with many tiny medallions marking her rank.

She receives Nynaeve, Elayne and Aviendha on Windrunner and takes them to the Mistress of the Ships' office.

She is very excited about the Bowl of the Winds' reappearance.
