Talene and three other Sitters were suspicious of Seaine and Pevara’s peculiar behaviour. Saerin realised that they were hunting the Black Ajah and swore on the oath rod that she was not Black Ajah. Talene was the only one of the six who refused to reswear and so the others believed that she was Black (TPoD, Ch. 26).
