General
Atuan Larisett is an Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, though she is posing as Yellow. She sides when Elaida in the White Tower splits (CoT, Prologue).
Pevara, Seaine, and the other Sitters hunting the Black Ajah discovered that Atuan was Black Ajah. Talene Minly had been forced to betray her (CoT, Prologue). They kidnapped Atuan and forced her to admit that she was Black Ajah. They also forced her to swear a personal oath of obedience on the Oath Rod and to reveal the names of the members of her heart (KoD, Prologue).
Atuan wears her dark hair in thin braids, as is the Taraboner fashion. Her face is perfect without being beautiful (KoD, Prologue). She does not have a Warder (CoT, Prologue).
Timeline
- In 978 NE, Atuan is an Accepted. She leaves the Tower to collect the names of newborn babes for the bounty (NS, Ch. 3).
- Atuan walks through the Tower with Pritalle Nerbaijan (CoT, Prologue).
- The Sitters kidnap Atuan and force her to admit that she is Black Ajah. She swears a personal oath of obedience to them (KoD, Prologue).
Miscellaneous
- She is fairly modest for a Yellow (CoT, Prologue).
- Atuan's heart consists of Karale Sanghir and Marris Thornhill. Her "one other" is Talene Minly (CoT, Prologue).
- After being exposed as Black Ajah, Atuan was quick to claim that she rejected the Shadow and walked in the Light once more (KoD, Prologue).
