General
Bili Congar is an old man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. Like many of the Congars and Coplins, he is considered a complainer and troublemaker (TEotW, Ch. 1). Before Moiraine and the Trollocs came to Emond's Field, he claimed not to believe in Aes Sedai, Darkfriends, or even the Dark One, even going so far as to name him. This resulted in his fields getting cutworm and everyone in his house coming down with yelloweye fever. After that, he still claimed not to believe but refused to name the Dark One again (TEotW, Ch. 3). He is a heavy drinker (TSR, Ch. 40).
Timeline
- He injures himself while trying to shear while drunk. From Mistress Barran's reaction, Nynaeve did not Heal the wound with the One Power (TEotW, Ravens Prologue).
- Claiming not to believe, he names the Dark One (TEotW, Ch. 3).
- With Hari and Darl Coplin, he demands Moiraine leave the village (TEotW, Ch. 9).
- He takes part in the final defense of Emond's Field when the Trollocs attack (TSR, Ch. 56).
Relationships
He is close with the other Coplins and Congars (TEotW, Ch. 9).
Darl and Hari Coplin are his cousins.
Quotes
