General

Master Fitch is the innkeeper at the Stag and Lion in Baerlon. He is as round as Bran al'Vere, with puffs of hair sticking out above his ears (TEotW, Ch. 13). He has a pleasant grin that makes him very likeable (TEotW, Ch. 14).

Timeline

  • He doesn't really believe the inn is in danger when Moiraine tells him there may be Darkfriends or worse coming (TEotW, Ch. 17).
  • Master Fitch builds a new inn, twice as big, with money sent with the messenger who came for Min (TGH, Ch. 24).

Quotes

“Don't you worry. They've tried it before. There's no Aes Sedai in Baerlon and the governor knows it” (To Moiraine; The Eye of the World, Chapter 13).

“Master Fitch is a good man, honest and trustworthy, but he does like to talk” (Moiraine; The Eye of the World, Chapter 14).
