Renel is a street vendor in Caemlyn in one of the possible worlds the Dark One shows Rand. Like everyone in that world, she is totally without conscience and kills a street urchin when he steals an apple. As Basel Gill exists in this world, it is likely that she has her counterpart in the real one.
