• Why did you choose Brown?

I didn't really choose Brown, it's just what I am! I love that I have found a place to fit in, where my sisters share many of my eccentricities and I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not.

• Are you like the Browns in the books? Do you love books and have a tendency to daydream?

I'm very much like the book Browns, but with a modern twist or too. I do love books, but I have other loves too, and I think that learning happens outside of books as much as in them. I do tend to daydream a lot, usually because I get distracted thinking about something other than what I'm doing.

• Do you have a favorite Brown Ajah character from the novels?

Verin... 'nuff said.

• How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?

Since exams second semester freshman year or college. A friend loaned me EotW because I was stressed out and wanting to procrastinate.

• How did you first get into the series?

A group of college friends were already fans and they introduced me to it.

• Who is your favorite "hero"?

At first it was Rand, but I find that I like Mat more and more.

• Favorite bad guy/gal?

don't really have a favorite...

• Favorite book and scene?

• If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?

I'd probably be a Brown Aes Sedai, if it was possible, if not, then a researcher at the Cairhienin library.

• How did you find TarValon.Net and what convinced you to stay and become Tower Sworn?

I found it in a Google search and stayed because I felt at home.

• What do you do in "real life"?

I recently received my PhD from the University of Michigan, and am now looking for college teaching jobs and trying to get caught up again in life!

• Do you have any hobbies?

Many! I'm a violinist, like lots of different crafting things, and the outdoors.

• What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

Primarily classical, but also jazz and some movie soundtracks.

• What are some of your favorite movies / television shows?

Movies: Lord of the Rings, the Harry Potter series, Bond movies, Mission Impossible and really spy flicks of any type. TV shows: Bones, CSI and CSI New York (NOT Miami), Criminal Minds, various other police procedurals, and nature shows, Mythbusters, history shows...

• Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favorite books/series?

All of Tolkien, and I like Jim Butcher (both series), Patricia Briggs, Mercedes Lackey, Kathy Reichs (author and creator of Bones... Yes, there's a whole series of books too), anything by Ovid (yeah, he's ancient but still really, really good)

• What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

A musician, a theoretical astrophysicist (until I learned that theoretical still meant I had to do math...), college professor, fantasy author, and naturalist
