Alesune Chulin is a Shienaran woman and the shatayan of the royal household of King Easar of Shienar, whom she accompanies to his meeting with the other rulers of the Borderlands in the Black Hills. She is slim, pretty with thin white streaks in her long, black hair and she seems born to her fine blue silks (TPoD, Prologue).
She rides a gray mare as tall as a war-horse (TPoD, Prologue).
