Along with Queen Nesaline of Caembarin and King Tefan of Khodomar, in the summer of FY 943, Almindhra moved her armies into Shandalle against Hawkwing. The reasons why they did this were unclear but some sources speculate that it was due to fear of a man who would not submit to White Tower law and who refused an audience with Bonwhin, the Amyrlin Seat.
