Geography

Khodomar was one of the nations of the Free Era. It was located in the eastern part of the Westlands. To the north were Shandalle and Tova, with the Maraside Mountains along the border, with the Spine of the World to the east, Talmour to the south, Esandara to the west, and Caembarin to the northwest. Eventually, this area of land became what is now unclaimed land north of Haddon Mirk.

Cities, Towns, and Villages

The small town of Endersole was located in Khodomar, close to Jolvaine Pass.

Khodomar's Fall

In FY 943, Khodomar was in danger of falling to Guaire Amalasan. In the spring of this year, Artur Hawkwing was moving south out of Tova, across the Maraside Mountains, to join the fighting in Khodomar.

Within three days of the battle of Jolvaine Pass, where Guaire Amalasan was captured (spring of FY 943), Sawyn Maculhene, a cavalry leader of "both daring and skill", left Khodomar with fifty thousand men. Both he and Elinde Motheneos from Esandara were intent on freeing Amalasan. Their attack came as a surprise, and they captured at least two of the bridges at the Alindrelle Erinin and even reached the White Tower itself. However, in the end, the attack failed. Sawyn Malculhene died in the fighting.

After Amalasan was gentled, men and women who had risen to power with him struggled to hold onto power in several nations, Khodomar included.

In the summer of FY 943, King Tefan of Khodomar, along with the Queen of Caembarin and the First Counselor of Tova, sent armies into Shandalle, Artur Hawkwing's homeland. By the winter of FY 943, Artur Hawkwing held considerable parts of Khodomar, as well as of Caembarin and Tova. In the early winter/spring of FY 944, Talmour sent aid to Khodomar, but it was to no avail.
