Balat is a sword-swallower and fire-eater in Valan Luca's Circus. His brother is Abar. He is a lean Domani (KoD, Ch. 8).
He and his brother are very popular among the other showfolk and even Thom admits that they are good. This way, they easily find somewhere to sleep when Mat buys their tent (KoD, Ch. 8).
Mat acquires a green-striped wall-tent from Abar and Balat after Bayle Domon's marriage to "Leilwin Shipless" (KoD, Ch. 8).
In Maderin, townspeople come to watch him and his brother eating fire, among other attractions (KoD, Ch. 11).
