Bela was Tam al'Thor's horse, purchased by Lan when the group fled the Two Rivers, following Rand's suggestion that she was one of the strongest, sturdiest horses around Emond's Field (TEotW, Ch. 10). She carried Egwene to Shadar Logoth (TEotW, Ch. 19) and went across the river with Egwene and Perrin (TEotW, Ch. 23) and eventually to the White Tower, accompanying the girls when they left with Liandrin (TGH, Ch. 39, returning again, only to leave with Min, Siuan and Leane when they fled after the Tower split (TFoH, Ch. 47). She remained with the rebel Aes Sedai until Olver rides her when accompanying Faile and the Horn of Valere, and after the group are captured and Faile is freed, she rides Bela to try and escape (AMoL, Ch. 37), Soon after, Olver rides her, but she is killed by a Trolloc spear (AMoL, Ch. 37)
