Siuan Sanche was born in Tear to a poor fisherman in the year 958 NE. Little of her life before joining the White Tower, where she was sent at the first sign of the ability to channel, is known.

Appearance

Of medium height with blue eyes, fair skin, and a strong face, Siuan is considered to be a handsome woman (TGH, Ch. 4).

The Great Hunt

The Dragon Reborn

  • Verin arrives from Falme to tell her of the Seanchan and that Rand has proclaimed himself (TDR, Ch. 12).
  • She meets with the three girls and assigns punishments, partly for letting themselves be tricked out of the Tower and partly to cover up that they had anything to do with Liandrin (TDR, Ch. 13).
  • She sends Elayne away and sets Nynaeve and Egwene to hunt the Black Ajah, giving them a note that they have authority to do whatever they wish. She expects them to bring Elayne in on the search (TDR, Ch. 14).
  • She leads the circle that Heals Mat (TDR, Ch. 18).
  • After he has been Healed, she visits him with Leane to tell him she means to use him (TDR, Ch. 20).
  • She visits Nynaeve and learns the girls intend to spring the Black Ajah trap in Tear (City). She thinks they are not being wise, but lets them go anyway (TDR, Ch. 29).
